Aerobic training is about increasing your heart rate for variable amounts of time to increase fitness and energy levels. With regular aerobic training both blood pressure and heart rate decrease. With more oxygen circulating your body energy levels increase – giving you more ‘bounce in your step’ and ability to last longer in work and play.
Resistance training assists in strengthening and toning your body. Depending on your body type, resistance training can increase the size or tone of your muscles or just increase your ability to do more. Similar with aerobic training, an increase in muscle strength promotes an increase in blood flow and oxygen, bringing about increases in energy and overall wellbeing.
