I have attended Healthfit since November 2023 for physio as part of my rehabilitation after my surgery. I was first diagnosed with Parkison’s in 2015 but through regular physical activity I have managed to nullify the effects. However, in February 2022 I had a bad fall where I broke my neck. The operation required some months of rehabilitation although my speech and swallowing deteriorated. Also nerve damage to my right hand rendered it practically useless. Due to my loss of weight being put onto a peg tube for feeding and a further operation on the bones in my neck I required further physio. In this period my physio was done first by allied health then neil was recommended to me for more targeted physio.
In the time I have known him I have formed the highest opinion of his capabilities. Neil is determined to rehabilitate me as far as possible, and has established a routine of various exercises. With the cooperation of my daughter, I have set up an exercise routine I can follow at home to supplement the more formal exercises we do at the gym. Through his care and attention to detail I am fast recovering a level of fitness faster than I thought possible.
Neil has my deepest gratitude for without him, I would be physically in poor shape. I had also been admitted to hospital repeatedly for aspirational pneumonia but after starting physio with neil, I have only had one episode in the early days.
